The Golden Fleece Award is an artistic fund established as a charitable bequest by the late Helen Lillias Mitchell.

The Award, launched in 2001, aims to support & promote the rich diversity of contemporary Irish creativity in the arts and crafts. Its mission to help Irish articst of creative excellence and innovative talent working in all the traditional arts and crafts, needing support at strategic stages of their careers.

Presence & Absence Exhibition

‘Presence & Absence’ is an exhibition of artwork by Tipperary artist Geraldine Jackman influenced by past histories of places, people and objects, often inspired by found materials and photographs.

Exhibition runs from 10 Oct - 5 Nov.

Craft Circle, Cashel Library.

Commencing on Sept. 28th, a craft group will meet Wednesday mornings from 10am -12am at Cashel Library. The craft circle will be ideal for anyone who has an interest in any craft form; be it crochet, quilting, knitting or cardmaking. It will be an opportunity for enthusiasts to learn from other members or to pass on their own pearls of wisdom. All are welcome. Please contact the library on 062 63825 for further information

Exhibiton Of Kilkenny Craftworkers

Joining in on the celebrations of 'Year of Craft', the Craft Granary is running a series of county by county exhibitions of crafts from the south east region. This is our final exhibition covering south east crafts. Come along to an exciting exhibition of Craftwork by Kilkenny Craft Makers in the Craft Granary Gallery running until the 2nd October. The exhibition features work by professional craft makers such as award winning Ken Foley Leather worker, also exhibiting are the amazing Paperworks of Tunde Tote, stunning Jewellery from Siobhan Hickman, exquisite Glassware of Eamonn Hartley and Pottery form Hillary Jenkins. There is something for everyone here and not to be missed!!
